Friday, you are my best friend.

Hello, Everyone!  Is there an everyone, or is there just me?  Who knows!  Perhaps I am writing to my very own imaginary friend.

Eh...sorry.  A little sleep deprived.

Why sleep deprived?  Well, for starters our taiko meeting lasted until well after 10 pm last night.  After that, I drove Michelle home.  After that, I drove myself home.  After that, I let the dogs out and such like.  I had a headache, but I didn't take anything this time.  I was too tired.

I had nightmares that I woke  up this morning and Julie had written the newsletter without me, and I felt horrible because I knew she didn't have time for that sort of thing, and I wondered why she hadn't told me.  And then I realized that they didn't want me to do it anymore.

I might be a little self-conscious today.  I applied for more jobs that I actually want yesterday. So nervous!

Anyway, I woke up earlier than I had planned, given the time I went to bed, because Josh sent me a text....from the living room.  Writing it on a sticky-note was apparently just too difficult.  And then there was Grant getting in trouble for pointing a knife at his sister...  Really wish I was making that one up.  So - we had the "Tools Are Not Toys" conversation, along with Josh's slightly more traumatic intervention.  I am fairly certain that Grant won't play with knives anymore.  He's pretty train-able.  And Abbie is sly and learns from other's mistakes, so I'm fairly certain she won't try it, either.  Progress?  One can only hope.

I wondered, yesterday, if Abbie had a fever.  She felt warm-ish.  She claimed to feel fine.  Now I know that I was correct...because I am not feeling well.  I still have the headache, for instance.  But!  She didn't end up having any other symptoms, so maybe I won't either.  Let's all ignore the good fortune that I typically do NOT have when it comes to germs.

Maybe I just need Motrin and a shower.  That cures many, many things, you know.

Yesterday was the last day of swim lessons this session.  Both kids jumped off the diving board themselves!  Awesome!  They will be in the same class again, though, next session.  It starts on the 8th, I believe.

I read all of Night Watch, and am now reading Howl's Moving Castle again.  I need to read something new.

I also need to get this house cleaned!  Before that even, however, I have a pressing need to grocery shop.  It is next on the list.
