Not sure how it is possible that someone as tired as me got only a few hours of sleep. Maybe I am sensitive to the "Supermoon". I don't know how you could have missed hearing about it, but it appears especially large just now - plus is full. One of the times I was up last night, I paid it a quick visit. It really did look big. It was also very bright. It was impressive. Part of me is glad that I was able to see it. The rest of me, however, is darned tired.
Well! Taiko performed at the St. Lou Fringe. We had standing ovations both days from small but energetic audiences. I wish I felt better about my contribution to the shows. I don't feel like I was much of an asset. Or maybe I'm just feeling sensitive and low. It shouldn't be surprising. I am quite sleep deprived.
Really, though, I don't feel like I've been much of a success lately.
Still no word from potential employers, and yet I am still applying somewhat regularly, and looking nearly constantly.
This week, we are having a day off of taiko on Tuesday, and on Thursday we are having a meeting. Grant has a ballgame tonight, and Abbie has one on Wednesday. Both are out of town. Friday I am at a rare recreational taiko event, and Saturday we go to Rolla to see Peter Pan!
After that, we will go to Versailles for the 4th of July. I am bringing a fruit salad that I enjoy. Probably, I will bring the ingredients and assemble it there, so as to be extra fresh. Possibly I should bring something else, as well. I will have to look into that. Something simple, like juice, maybe?
Lookie! I own these:

I am currently reading Terry Pratchett again. Theresa lent me Thief of Time, and when I finished it I picked up my copy of Night Watch.
Sarah Addison Allen's new book, speaking of books, will be out in February. I am conflicted, though. I have all of her books in paperback, and you know how I am about keeping the set together. That part of me wants to buy the paperback....which will come out much later. However, as a re-reader, I am not sure how I ended up with all paperbacks in the first place! She is one of my favorites! When I win the lottery, perhaps, I will get the hard cover boxed set.
I meant to buy a lottery ticket...
Master Awesome and his little girl are so incredibly cute! They were playing last night and sent me pictures.
Josh bought Despicable Me for the kids. ....and the Star Trek Movie boxed set for himself. This is what happens when I am unavailable for the weekend. The upside is that I watched Star Trek The Motion Picture for the first time since I was little.
I must find something to make for an early lunch before swim lessons. Hope today is good to you! (I hope today is good to me, too.)
