So much violence in the news!  It must be the heat.  Resist, Friends!  Resist the temptation to kill, maim, abuse, insult, or make unpleasant faces at your fellow man!  As Miss Manners says, "Calm, cheerful, pleasant, unruffled indifference, no matter how severe the provocation, is your only hope of achieving popularity."  And we are meant to interpret that as "success".

So amused by reports of the Olympics' Opening Ceremony.  I wonder how I could watch it....

We are fine here.  I've watched two movies this week!  One is "Love, and Other Disasters" with Brittany Murphy, and the other is called Aaja Nachle.  Both were good, and I was very surprised at how much Josh enjoyed both of them.  Of course, any movie where Brittany Murphy walks around in her underwear is okay with him.

Grant's been kind of a punk this week.  Makes me grumpy that I bought him a bunch of presents, but I know that underneath it all he is still my sunshiny boy.  I'm excited about our trip to the lake next weekend.

Tomorrow, I will taiko, and Josh will pay a visit to his grandmother with Grant and Abbie.

Tonight we are having shrimp and a fancy salad.  Going to be extra yummy!
