Day of Happy!

Hello!

Let's start with the happy stuff.

What a great day it's going to be! Josh is off getting some stuff for landscaping! I love landscaping. We're going to have a Work In The Yard day. EXCITED!

Yesterday we took a nice long-ish walk and I feel so much better. I need that. Taiko is good for building upper body strength, but I do like a nice walk. It was especially nice since we were all together.

It's also a cooking day. I'm going to make a pineapple upside down cake for tomorrow, and I'm also going to make a quiche for our family. We're still deciding, but we'll most likely eat it tonight, because we will be spending the early morning doing the Easter thing. The Bunny will be hiding some plastic eggs indoors, in case of weather. (The kids want to leave him a note to that effect.) Josh will have to leave at 9, and then at noon I will take the kids to his mom's house for brunch and games.

Of course, I'm still a little wounded that they disobeyed the rules that I have ALWAYS had for my children's safety when they stayed there Thursday night. They were dying eggs with the cousins while I was taiko-ing. And they were all still awake when I got there at 10:30. (My kids go to bed at 7:30 during the week, and 8:30 on the weekends.) The other kids probably don't know about the bed times...but EVERYONE knows that my kids DO NOT play with the door closed. Ever.

Yeah. So, that's why I got a babysitter. And now she's leaving...but I don't know when, and I don't have a replacement. And I don't know if I'm working this summer and need to find something to do with the kids, or if I'll be unemployed and home until fall.

Our dear friend Miss Kat's tea shop will be closing for good at the end of the month. Sad. I've been going whenever I can, and I think we're going to try to be at her last tea tasting, too.

Well, I started working. Remember how I was going to get living room furniture and all that fancy stuff? Yeah...

T-ball is a moderate success, but I still don't think much of those coaches. They aren't any good at ball, which doesn't matter with little ones like ours, but they also aren't good at being excited about t-ball....which DOES. I might take it upon myself to become head cheerleader.

But...things are pretty okay, as long as you don't look too closely at the ever nearing future called Summer.

Josh is looking for a new job. I know that this is not news, but now it is serious. The announcement was 16 hour days, and "if you don't like it, you can quit." We don't like it. Need money, though. My $9/hr. isn't gonna do it.

Anyway, Abbie has picked out which dress she's going to wear tomorrow, and I'm washing Grant's shirt. No idea what I will be wearing, but I'm not too worried about it.

Josh and I need to get moving with planning our anniversary. 10 years next month, guys! i think we're going to spend the day in Hermann, but I don't know. Plus, there's the cake thing. I'm getting one.

Family news: I HAVE A NEW COUSIN! That makes 2 more girl great-grandchildren for my grandmother besides Abbie. Grant is still the only boy. Also, my mother works Monday thru Thursday now, and did I already tell you that Brother got accepted into both St. Louis' and Denver's pharmacy schools? I'm pretty sure he's doing Denver, but he's still looking into the financial aid part. Dad likes his job on Ft. Wood, and I recently made an MP3 cd for him with Orange Blossoms by J.J. Grey and Mofro. (If you haven't heard it, it's excellent. But I warn you that if you want to look it up on youtube, you shouldn't watch the video the first time. Just minimize it or something. It's distracting.) I also put some Pomplamoose on it, and other choice selections. I made one for Brother, too. I need to call him and ask how he liked it....

Today is going to be great! I must go and get started.
